What is a White Card for?
If you’ve been wondering what a White Card is for, we’ve got the answers for you.
The White Card is the nationally recognised safety induction course and card for the construction industry.
The national White Card is issued upon completion of the construction safety course (CPCCWHS1001: Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)) which replaces all previous construction induction cards.
The good news about this is that you need just one card for work across borders, in other words, the Blue Card, Green Card and Red Card which were valid in the individual states are now replaced by the White Card which is recognised in all states and territories.
What’s The Best Way to Get a White Card?
The online White Card course which is now available for all states is the smartest choice for anyone looking to complete the training, providing an affordable and hassle-free option.
The alternative is a traditional face-to-face training course which you will need to attend in person, which will cause inconvenience and more expense.
The cost of the online course is just $39 and you won’t have to spend additional money on travel expenses, lunch and other costs associated with in-person training.
What do You Need to Complete the Online Course?
- A computer, laptop or tablet and an internet connection are required.
- You will need speakers or an earpiece to hear the sound of the course.
- You will also need a printer to print your statement of results.
When Will I Get My White Card?
With the entire course delivered online, you can decide when and where you review the material and how long you want to take.
Many students complete the online white card course in a few hours in one sitting whereas others choose to take longer and learn at their own pace, the choice is yours. The system will pick up where you left off the last time. You can sign in and out as many times as you choose.
There are online assessments and a short verbal assessment that must be completed successfully. Once you have completed these and printed your certificate, you will send us your signed declaration form and certified copy of your ID via our document upload system, email or post.
We will process your documents from our offices in Brisbane within one or two days and issue you with your Queensland White Card which is valid in all states, including NSW.
The White Card should reach you within a week through Australia Post or sooner if you opt for the Express Delivery when you register.
