Last weekend wasn’t a good one for work safety, in fact 2 men died while another was critically injured in 3 separate workplace incidents.
On Saturday a man died at a property in East Gippsland when the quad bike he was on, overturned. Another incident involved a worker who was crushed by a load of steel that fell from a forklift and a third happened at Mornington Peninsula when a man suffered critical head injuries after falling 4 metres at a construction site.
WorkSafe’s Executive Director of Health and Safety, Marnie Williams spoke out about safety and the need to make it a priority at work.
She highlighted that these incidents all involved well known risks, making these deaths and injuries so unacceptable. Source: http://content.safetyculture.com.au/news/index.php/02/two-men-died-another-suffer-critical-injuries-workplace-incidents-weekend/#.WLxSoH9WXqV
