With the construction sector booming in NSW, now is as good a time as any for women interested in a career in construction to get a foot in the door.
Women make up just 11 per cent of the construction sector’s workforce however they are being encouraged to take advantage of the high paying jobs available in the construction industry.
The Vocational and Educational Training (VET) sector, as well as state government and leading construction firms such as Lendlease are encouraging women to “get qualified for highly-paid construction jobs”.
The state is experiencing an infrastructure boom, so more skilled workers are needed, now more than ever.
