Road Safety Behaviour Program Video Launched

Improving truck safety is the focus of a new video created by the Melbourne creative agency Hard Edge and Swimburne University, together with the ATA, Melbourne Metro Rail Authority, National Road Safety Partnership Program, Transport Accident Commission, and Mr Smith Projects (video production).

Trucks play a major role in construction activities which is why this video is important for the construction industry as well as the transport industry.

The video, Re:act road safety behaviour program focusses on sharing the road safely with trucks and shows how safety understanding can change the behaviour of other road-users around trucks.

The creators say the aim of the video is to ‘humanise’ truck drivers and promote improved interactions between cars and heavy vehicles, this is important given that the number of trucks on Australian roads is likely to double over the next 20 years.
