The Northern Territory government has just given the green light for the construction of the first 344km section of the Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) project, which is good news for the construction industry in the area.
Consent to build the Phillip Creek Station Compressor Station came on 2 May 2017, prior to the government’s approval of the NGP project.
This forms part of the Territory’s government’s key platforms for the development of Tennant Creek as a mining services centre for the Territory as well as development of the North.
During the construction phase, the project will generate at least 900 jobs, expected to start as soon as possible to make the most of the dry season.
