Following a fatal crushing incident in Mildura, a Brooklyn construction firm is facing charges of alleged health and safety failings.
In October 2017, a 58 year old man was helping load a roller onto a tray truck in a depot when it rolled, crushing him.
Work safety authorities allege the company’s failure to implement a procedure or system for loading and unloading machines/equipment for transport was a breach of workplace health and safety regulations.
The company also failed to provide the necessary information, instruction and training.
