The Gold Coast City Council recently approved a development application for the 328m Orion Tower which will be Australia’s tallest skyscraper when completed early next decade.
The Orion Tower is just one of eight skyscrapers which are set to transform city skylines over the next decade, particularly in Melbourne and on The Gold Coast, mostly because in these 2 cities authorities haven’t restricted ceiling height usually imposed by aviation authorities. This allows architects to design builders as high as developers’ pockets can fund.
By the year 2022, these 2 cities will hold seven of the tallest buildings in Australia.
