Is the card I receive valid in my State?

All White Cards are nationally recognised and no matter which State or Territory of Australia issues your White Card it has to be accepted in all States and Territories of Australia. If you are completing the white card for a licence or permit please check with your relevant state regulatory body to ensure that the White Card that will be issued to you will be accepted.

Which White Cards do you issue?

We issue Queensland White Cards under an agreement with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ). We also have an agreement with Worksafe WA and can issue a WA White Card for any students living in Western Australia.

No matter which state or territory of Australia issues your White Card it is nationally recognised and has to be accepted in all States and Territories of Australia on construction sites. If you are completing the white card for a licence or permit please check with your relevant state regulatory body to ensure that the White Card that will be issued to you will be accepted.

Does this replace the Blue, Red and Green Cards?

In 2009 the new nationally recognised unit of competency “CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry” was released. This unit replaced state based construction industry general safety induction training.

If you have a Blue, Red or Green card we recommend you check with your state regulatory body, such as Worksafe QLD or SafeWork NSW, to see if your card is still valid.

Are you a Registered Training Organisation?

Yes, we are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and our National Provider number is 31973. Visit the TGA website to view our registration details.

Does the White Card Expire?

Your White Card does not expire. However if you haven’t worked in the construction industry for over 2 years it is recommended that you redo the course.

I have lost my White Card!

If your White Card has been lost, stolen or damaged, we can replace it. You will need to complete a statutory declaration form, this is a Government requirement, in order for us to issue your new White Card.

We supply you with the statutory declaration form, you just complete it, explaining what happened to your previous card, and signing off (in front of an authorised person like a Justice of the Peace) that you have previously completed a White Card course.

I have lost my Blue Card, do I have to do the course again, or can I just order a replacement card?

If you have lost your Queensland Blue Card that was issued after you completed “30215QLD Course in general safety induction (construction industry)” we can replace it with a White Card without you having to do a new course.

It can’t be replaced with a Blue Card as these are no longer issued but the process for us to issue you with a replacement White Card is quick and simple. Click here for more information on how to replace your Blue Card.

How long does it take to do the course?

The course covers the required nominal (face-to-face) six hours of content. However, due to the efficiencies of online learning, we find most people take approximately 2-4 hours to complete the course. It is available online 24 hours a day, and you can start and stop the course as many times as you like. Your completed work will be saved and ready for you when you start again.

How long does it take to mark my Short Answer Assessment?

We aim to mark your assessment as soon as possible and usually have it done within 1 business day (in busy periods it may take 1-2 business days).

Once I finish the course how long does it take to receive my White Card?

If you have selected the Priority Service option your card will be posted within 1-2 business days in an express post envelope. With the standard service option, your card will be posted within 2-3 business days via the regular Australia Post service.

Before we can post your card, you will need to submit your Student Declaration (we supply this form), plus a copy of your identification. This is a Government requirement, but you can easily upload the documents through your account where you complete your course. See our White Card documents checklist page for more information.

It’s URGENT! I need it by tomorrow!

Your Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be available for download and printing in your account immediately after you have completed the course, passed your assessments and provided us with your personal details, including your Unique Student Identifier (USI).

If you are working in Victoria, Queensland or the Northern Territory an employer must accept the SOA as evidence that you have completed the course. You can work under your SOA for 60 days while waiting for your card. In all other states, it is up to your employer’s discretion if the SOA is sufficient evidence that you have completed the course, pending the arrival of your card.

Your employer is welcome to phone us directly to verify that you have completed the course and once your card has been processed we can supply the White Card number. If you would like a scanned copy of your card please call us on 1300 886 092 or submit an enquiry to request this before your card is posted.

Can I come in and do the course at the White Card Online Express National Head Office?

We only offer the White Card course online and don’t run face-to-face training at our office.

I live outside Australia. Can I do this course before I arrive?

Yes, you can do the course online in any country.

How much is the course?

The course cost is $38.90 (GST Free). For an extra $12.00 (Incl GST) you can upgrade to Priority Service.

What is the Optional Priority Service Upgrade?

For only $12 (Incl GST) you get:

  • Priority Card Processing – We Process Your Card in 1-2 business days (Usually only 1 business day)
  • Express Post Envelope – Next Day Delivery in Express Post Envelope (Australian Residents Only and subject to Australia Post Conditions)

How can I pay?

For instant access to your course you can pay securely online with a Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard). You can also use a Visa Debit Card or MasterCard Debit Card. For your peace of mind, we do not store any of your card details. (Please note: American Express or Diners Club are NOT accepted).

If you do not have a credit card, phone us on 1300 886 092 to arrange payment by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Money Order or Cheque. With these methods, the payment must clear our account before you will be able to access the course. This could take 2-5 days.

I have paid, however, I can’t get into the course, it keeps asking me to pay?

Have you received a copy of your receipt by email? You may need to check your spam/junk folder if it’s not in your inbox.

Your receipt will show the status of the payment, either ‘Approved’ or ‘Declined’. If it says declined, we have not received any payment and you will need to go through the payment process again. Click here to contact us if you require assistance with your payment.

Does this course have GST?

No, the White Card course is GST free.

Who is “authorised” to “certify” my Identification?

In Queensland your identification (ID) must be certified as a ‘true and correct copy’ by either a Justice of the Peace (JP), Commissioner for Declarations or a Legal Practitioner. For all other States and Territories of Australia please click here for a list of authorised persons.

Who is the observer?

The observer can be anyone who sees you do the course assessment. This maybe a family member, friend or work colleague.

What is the Unique Student Identifier (USI)?

Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) gives you access to your online USI account which will contain all your nationally recognised training records and results from January 2015 onwards. If you are completing this course within Australia you will need to give us your USI in order to receive your Statement of Attainment.

Is there an age limit to completing the course?

You must be 14 years or older to complete the course.

The element will not load, What can I do?

Pop up blockers may be activated on your computer. They will need to be disabled for the element to load correctly. Instructions for disabling pop up blockers can be found on our troubleshooting page under the ‘More Help’ heading.

What type of computer is required? Does it work with Mac?

Windows is the recommended Operating System. Although the course works on a Mac and Linux. You can check if your computer meets the requirements on our troubleshooting page.

Are there any other computer requirements?

You will need:

  • Computer, tablet or mobile device with internet connectivity
  • Speakers or headphones to listen to the audio presentation during the course
  • Up-to-date browser (Chrome and Firefox recommended)
  • Printer (to print your certificate)

What type of internet connection is required?

Broadband/Cable Internet is required. 3G Wireless, including USB Wireless Modems, are NOT recommended and Dial-Up is not suitable.

What web browsers are supported?

Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are the recommended browsers. Firefox, if available, is the better choice. Either of these browsers should have JavaScript enabled and Adobe Flash Plugin installed. Also, all pop-up blockers should be turned off. Some browsers have add-ons, like Norton Bar, Ask.com Search Bar etc, installed which have inbuilt pop-up blockers.

Can I use an internet Cafe?

Internet Cafés are not recommended as they may have security controls and firewalls in place that could affect the course loading properly. The connection may also be unreliable and you could have to repeat parts of the course.
